Howdy! Mike Davis here, my wife Charlotte and I always dreamed of putting together a trail riding resort to enjoy with family and friends, a place to horseback ride, hold events, and just kick back and enjoy this gorgeous land by a crackling campfire. Our dream grew into this amazing resort called Rafter D Ranch in the NW Ozark mountains of Arkansas. Our active working cattle ranch was established in 1981 and covers some of the most beautiful Ozark hill country in the state. Our miles and miles of well marked and hand cut horse trails are perfect for any riding level. Our trails wind through deep woods and across small creeks to vistas overlooking rolling hilltops with breathtaking views dotted with cattle and abundant wildlife. Our private and remote resort assures that you won't have to fight off four wheelers, hikers, or hunters. We are a Equine facility designed around what horse people want when they vacation and trail ride. Our 40 RV and camping sites with water, electricity, and 10x12 pipe corrals for your horses are wooded and pristine. Many of our RV and trailer slots have easy drive through access loading and parking which is great for larger rigs. We have many beautiful shaded tent sites for the serious campers. We also have sleeping cabins for those who do not wish to pitch a tent or have RV or trailer accommodations.
Our new 150x300 professional all steel events arena is perfect for team penning, sorting, clinics, and horse shows; or perhaps
even just warming up your horse before hitting the trails. Our
newly constructed big red barn houses, large his and her bathrooms with
plenty of hot water and large showers, the Horse Shoe Cafe', a large dining area
with a stage and dance hall available for your special gatherings or
organization's needs.
We even have a tack, souvenir
and light supplies store for your convenience.
All this under the big star skies of the NW Ozark mountains of Arkansas which is most definitely some of the most beautiful country in the US. You won't find a better more family orientated trail riding resort in all of Arkansas. We aim to please, with the goal of a fun vacation or event for the entire family. Bring your horse and kick back at a campfire under the stars, it doesn't get much better then that !
Local nearby attractions include; The Ozark Folk capital of the world with great shows and shopping. Of course who could forget that we are just a few short miles from the best trout river in the US !
